The 2016 Left Field Rose is a unique blend of Pinotage, Arneis and Pinot Gris. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit was crushed to the press to extract vibrant colour and flavour from the skins. The juice was then drained, clarified and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation was conducted at cooler temperatures to ensure the retention of bright fruit aromas and stopped with a small amount of residual sugar to provide balance to the palate. The white wines of Arneis and Pinot Gris were blended back with the Pinotage to add a lovely floral aroma to the wine.
